Rising to 5,895m (19,340 ft), Kilimanjaro's snow-clad peak creates a stunning backdrop for the park's abundant wildlife. Inspired by this landscape, Ernest Hemingway wrote 'The Snows of Kilimanjaro' and 'The Short, Happy Life of Francis Macomber,' both later adapted into successful films. This wilderness, rich in wildlife, extends throughout Amboseli National Park.
  • Arriving at the camp in time for warm welcome and hot lunch. After a short break, a game drive followed till the late afternoon and then return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

  • After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive in the park.
  • A large part of the park is the alluvial bed of the seasonal Lake Amboseli, which can transform into a shallow flood during the rainy season and create mirages in the dry season. Near the center are swamps fed by underground rivers from the mountain, attracting diverse wildlife. This area is home to herds of elephants, colorful birds, and various water birds like grey heron, saddle bill stork, Egyptian goose, long-toed lapwing, yellow-throated sand grouse, and up to six vulture species. The rare Madagascar Squacco Heron is a frequent visitor. Other commonly seen animals include buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, Masai giraffe, lion, and cheetah.
  • Come back to the camp for hot lunch and have a short break, then depart for an afternoon game drive in the park. In the late afternoon return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

  • After breakfast, your destination is familiar for everyone, the Serengeti!
  • Serengeti National Park is renowned for its abundant wildlife, especially the "big five" trophy animals. It hosts over 3,000 lions, believed to be the largest population in Africa due to the plentiful prey. The park also has around 1,000 African leopards, often seen in the Seronera region.
  • On the way, pass by the Ngorongoro Crater, stopping at the observation deck to take in the panoramic view of the crater. Along the way, admire the natural charm of the Tanzanian wilderness, as well as the various species of wildlife. Today you are likely to see the African lion, the "King of the Prairie", and if you are lucky, you will see carnivores such as leopards and cheetahs, and even the excitement of their hunting.
  • Arriving at the camp in central Serengeti in late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Baobab Serengeti Camp

Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

  • After breakfast, collect your luggage and depart for Serengeti National Park North, enjoying en-route wildlife viewing. These “endless plains” are home to elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, and crocodiles… the adventure has truly begun.
  • River crossings at Kogatende start to occur every day in August as the mega herd settles into the area. For August, September and October, game viewing up here is superb with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses. It is not uncommon to see different herds crossing in different directions on the same day.
  • Take your chance by the Mara River to see if you can catch a river-crossing scene. In the late afternoon, arrive at the camp in Serengeti North for dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Baobab Mara Luxury Camp or similar

Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

  • After breakfast, you will depart for a full day game drive to focus on the Great Migration. Spending a whole day by the Mara River as we delve deeper into this experience. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note that finding a crossing is very challenging and is sometimes a matter of luck. There are instances where herds can be seen next to the river but then only decides to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains.
  • In the evening, drive back the camp for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Baobab Mara Luxury Camp or similar

Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

  • After breakfast at camp, collect your luggage and depart for a full day game drive heading towards to Serengeti Central.
  • You will be awestruck by the incredible beauty of this unsurpassable wilderness, truly unforgettable. In the late afternoon arrive at the camp in central Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Baobab Serengeti Camp or similar

Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

  • After breakfast, collect your luggage and continue to have a morning game drive in Central Serengeti until noon.
  • Then, depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The jewel in Ngorongoro's crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here.
  • In the late afternoon arrive at the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

  • After breakfast, depart for a full-day Ngorongoro Crater tour. Descend 600 meters into the crater to view an array of wildlife. It's the most beautiful time of the day as the morning mist rises from the crater and gently embraces this otherworldly wonderland. The crater contains forests, lakes, and grasslands, and is home to more than 25,000 wild animals, known as the "Eden of Africa." Because of this unique ecology, animals do not need to migrate and can enjoy this beautiful and fertile land year-round.
  • In the afternoon, ascend and drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
